SEATTLE — A sequence of free summer functions at Pier 62 in Seattle kicks off Thursday.

The situations hosted by Good friends of Seattle Waterfront assortment from are living new music, dance and health and fitness classes, IndigiQueer Pageant, Korea Expo and Festival, Folklore Mexicano Tonantzin performances, Caribbean Sea Fest, artwork, skateboarding, and additional.

A free health event established for Sunday will be led by Tiana Duncan, the founder of Indigo Motion and a accredited therapeutic massage therapist. The event is an hour-extensive complete-system kickboxing and mobility class.

Duncan said all ages and all health and fitness talents could participate from 11 a.m. to midday.

Duncan identifies as queer. 

“This is my neighborhood,” Duncan stated. “Even if I wasn’t queer, I would advocate for a team that is marginalized. I imagine we as people are forgetting that with marginalized communities – if a person neighborhood is being under attack – it’s heading to be a ripple effect down the line.”

As Satisfaction Month gets underway, Duncan reported it can be critical to make certain health and fitness and wellness options are protected and welcoming to anyone, together with the LGBTQIA+ local community.

“We have to arrive again to humanity as all people,” Duncan said. “Regardless if you’re able to resonate with this local community or not, we’re still individuals and we all should have to be handled equally and reasonably throughout the board.”
